My Rewards employee benefits portal

My Rewards is an online portal to improve the amount and quality of the benefits we offer you and give you greater rewards for working at the council.

It is available to access 24/7 at MyRewards

My Rewards is an online portal is available for staff at Portsmouth City Council and offers you new and exclusive savings on goods and services including high street retailers, restaurants, cinema and theatre tickets.

You can also apply for new bike through the cycle to work salary sacrifice scheme provided by Cyclescheme. My Rewards also contains information about existing staff benefits such as childcare vouchers and travel loans.

Accessing My Rewards

You can access My Rewards 24/7 through any web browser, including when you are at home, using the website address above. To access the exclusive offers on My Rewards, you will first need to register on the portal using your name, Portsmouth City Council payroll number and personal email address. You must enter your name as it appears on your payslip. You will then need to create a user name and password.

How My Rewards works

The goods and services offered on My Rewards are provided at a discount to you by independent suppliers. The benefits are offered through the separate providers. Each offer and benefit has individual terms and conditions that you should read and agree to before signing up to any offer or benefit.

Benefits on My Rewards

  • Carplus – a salary sacrifice scheme where you offset some of your salary each month in exchange for a brand new, fully maintained car – and can save you money on tax and national insurance. How the scheme works
  • Cycle scheme – a salary sacrifice scheme where you offset some of your salary each month in exchange for a brand new bicycle – and can save you money on tax and national insurance.
  • AVC Wise – a salary sacrifice shared cost additional voluntary contributions scheme which offers additional savings to standard AVCs – and saves you money  on national insurance contributions and income tax
  • Eye tests – if you regularly use a visual display unit (VDU), then you can join the Vision Express VDU scheme and receive a free eye test and money off prescription glasses
  • Discounts on a wide range of goods and services – access a range of discounts and offers from thousands of restaurants, shops and more
  • Salary finance – offering simple savings, access to salary as it is earned, and affordable loans – all underpinned by accessible, engaging financial education
  • Travel loans – purchase an annual Firstbus, Stagecoach, Hovertravel, Gosport or Wightlink ferry pass via ten monthly deductions from your net salary

Terms and conditions

New starters on probationary periods

New starters to the council can access lifestyle benefits on My Rewards while on probation. Salary sacrifice scheme and ticket loans however can only be accessed by staff when they have successfully completed their probation period and are confirmed as a permanent member of staff.

No liability lies with Portsmouth City Council arising from any service or product purchased through the My Rewards portal and the liability lies with the supplier or company who provided the service or product.
